A great read and it takes up Jennifer’s upcoming projects!
Jennifer Carpenter is happy: She’s finally been given permission to cry.
The actress, currently starring opposite Pablo Schreiber in the off-Broadway dark romantic play “Gruesome Playground Injuries,” had to stifle her tears on stage while rehearsing the role of Kayleen, a young woman suppressing her inner turmoil.
“There was one rule: It’s that Kayleen doesn’t cry. That’s a lot to swallow all the time. It was actually unhealthy for a while, I think. During one rehearsal, I did cry and I felt so much better. I said, ‘I may need to leave a little on the stage.’”
Director Scott Ellis eventually relented, finally allowing Carpenter to release her pain — but only at the very end of each performance. “I think the journey that she goes through, she looks forward to that moment,” Ellis says.
Carpenter, 31, is flexing her tear ducts and theater muscles for the first time since she made a name for herself on Showtime’s serial killer series “Dexter” and in films such as “The Exorcism of Emily Rose” and “White Chicks.”
“This has been a historic moment in my life. This whole period of my life is going to change the course of everything in a really positive way,” she says during an interview in her dressing room. “I’m at a point in my life where I’m looking to be surprised. I’m looking to do things that I hadn’t expected to do.”

As Americans reflect on all of the good in their lives during the Thanksgiving weekend, some people don’t have the luxury of appreciating the good in life. This is the case for the characters in the new revenge movie ‘Faster,’ starring Dwayne Johnson, Billy Bob Thorton and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. The Castle Rock Entertainment film, however, gives Johnson’s fans something to be thankful for, however, as he gets back in touch with his action roots.

This is another article on the new movie Faster that Jennifer will star in. It gives a bit more information on the movie and the characters than the last article. There is also a video of an interview with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson about the film and you can check that out under the article source.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is pretty great. Really. I’ve never been much of a wrestling fan, but I’ve definitely enjoyed his work as an actor. “The Rundown” and “Walking Tall” are both pure entertainment. And his presence in both “Be Cool” and “Southland Tales” elevated those two relative disasters. He’s been in a couple movies since those which I haven’t seen, but I’m really looking forward to his next one, “Faster”, featuring an ensemble cast that includes Billy Bob Thornton, Carla Gugino, Moon Bloodgood, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Maggie Grace.
Johnson told MTV’s Larry Carroll at ShoWest recently that there’s one other notable name in the cast, someone who hasn’t come up yet in previous announcements: “Dexter” star Jennifer Carpenter. “['Faster' is] like a mix between ‘The Good, the Bad & the Ugly’ [and] ‘Bullitt’. It has an old-school texture to it where no one has names. There’s the Driver, the Killer, the Cop, the Evangelist, the Woman,” he said. Larry asked, is “The Woman” Gugino? “She’s actually a cop too,” Johnson replied. “Jennifer Carpenter.” Neat!

This movie sounds interesting and the article seems to have it right about Jennifer
It is suppose to be released sometime in 2010.
Think you know the entire cast of Faster? Think again. It’s common knowledge the film stars Dwayne Johnson as well as Billy Bob Thornton, Carla Gugino, Moon Bloodgood, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Maggie Grace, but there’s someone missing from that list. Not only is does this individual play a pivotal role in the film, but she’s becoming a relatively well-known actress as well. It’s Dexter’s Jennifer Carpenter!
Johnson leads as an ex-con going to the extreme to avenge his brother’s death. Gugino and Thornton are the detectives hot on his trail. While chatting with MTV at ShoWest, Johnson described the film as “a mix between The Good, the Bad & the Ugly [and] Bullitt. It has an old-school texture to it where no one has names. There’s the Driver, the Killer, the Cop, the Evangelist, the Woman.” ‘The Woman’ is Gugino, right? Wrong! Johnson revealed that part is played by Carpenter.
